Flamingos have clinched a spot in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup
following a decisive 2-0 victory over Liberia at home on Friday. This win
secured their place with an impressive 6-1 aggregate in the final qualifying
round.

Chidi, who was instrumental in the first leg with two goals, continued her
stellar performance by scoring both goals in this match. She opened the scoring
in the fourth minute and sealed the victory with her second goal 27 minutes
before the final whistle.
Under the guidance of coach Bankole Olowookere, the Flamingos will be making their seventh appearance in the U-17 Women's World Cup, set to take place in the Dominican Republic. The team aims to build on their success from the last tournament in India, where they secured a commendable third-place finish.
