Nigeria's Anti-Graft Boss Urges Commitment to Anti-Corruption

Nigeria has the potential to attain peace, love, progress, and unity free from corruption and unsavory practices, according to EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede.

 

A Call to Action 

“We can achieve peace, love, progress, and unity of purpose for a Nigeria free of corruption and unsavory practices. Let’s keep building, attacking every threat to our progress, and fighting economic and financial crimes together,” the anti-graft boss stated.

 

Positive Outlook on Nigerian Character 

He emphasized that Nigerians are not inherently corrupt and that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the nation.

 

Eid-El-Kabir Message 

On the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir, he congratulated the nation and highlighted that the festival's lessons should inspire greater commitment to the anti-corruption fight. “The lessons of forbearance, sacrifice, faith, and hope in Almighty Allah which Eid teaches should imbue in us a fresh desire to please God and serve our nation without corrupt practices.”

“We should renew our efforts towards fighting all forms of economic and financial crimes,” he added, urging all Nigerians to uphold the values of Eid-El-Kabir in their daily lives and in the collective fight against corruption.
