President Barack Obama’s older half brother is
standing with the republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. Malik Obama,
a longtime Democrat, is so disgusted with his brother’s policies that he is
considering switching political parties.
“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the
heart,” said Malik Obama, who resides in the rural village of Kogelo, Kenya.
Malik Obama told the Washington Post that “Make
America Great Again is a great slogan. I would like to meet him.”.
Malik Obama said his “deep disappointment” in his
brother Barack Obama led him to switch to the “party of Lincoln.”
He said the last straw came when the FBI director
announced he would not recommend charges for Hillary Clinton, who kept an
illegal server in her home.
“She should have known better as the custodian of
classified information,” said Obama.
Malik Obama also said he opposes same-sex
marriage, which his brother fully supported.
“I feel like a Republican now because they don’t
stand for same-sex marriage, and that appeals to me,” he said.
