The Joint Admissions and Matriculation
Board (JAMB) has announced the rescheduling of the 2024 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 24,535 candidates. This decision comes in
response to significant non-compliance with JAMB's standards at the examination
centers of the affected candidates.
Affected candidates are instructed to print
their supplementary Examination Notification Slips from Tuesday, June 4, 2024,
to find out their new designated examination centers.
In a statement released on Sunday, JAMB
spokesman Dr. Fabian Benjamin also announced that 3,921 previously withheld
results have been released. The statement reads:
"The Board has meticulously analyzed
the conduct of the 2024 UTME in several centers where there is substantial
evidence of non-compliance with the Board's standards. Consequently, 24,535
candidates have been rescheduled to retake the examination in their chosen
towns on Saturday, June 22, 2024."
Additionally, Dr. Benjamin stated,
"Candidates can check their results from Saturday, June 1, 2024, by
sending 'RESULT' to 55019 or 66019. Those whose results have been cleared will
receive their results, while those rescheduled will be notified
accordingly."
With this latest update, the total number of released results now stands at 1,883,350. The rescheduled examination on Saturday, June 22, 2024, aims to give affected candidates sufficient time to prepare for the test.
